Three Times a Lady by Pinja-Master
Three Times a Lady

So this piece came out of the same class as Borrachito and I remember that the professor wanted to recapture the ‘funky’ style present in that piece.

It took all three hours of class to get this one finished, and about this time in the semester my artwork started really coming together, and the other students started noticing me. Even our model made it obvious that she wanted to see more of my work.

In a way, I guess this was my best piece from that semester. It was even featured in the school’s student art show. Now that I think of it, I don’t think I ever got this piece back after that. I should email my professor.

There’s three images in this piece of a woman who had done almost all of the modelling in my class. You might have to rotate the image (Or your head) to see all three. Anyway, when it was selected to be in the art show I had to think of a name. Since it was the same woman drawn from three different poses and three different angles I got the giggles when I thought of the Commodores song “Three Times A Lady”

Yeah, I’m not great at naming things. I just thought it worked for this piece. It was a ton of fun to make, and as soon as I can get the piece back I’ll upload a better quality. Be sure to look very closely at it; there’s a lot of little things happening.

Borrachito by Pinja-Master

So about a year ago or something, I took this art class at community college. I had a good time, and it was really good for stretching a cramped art muscle that i hadn’t moved in a good few years.

This came from a figure drawing class that I took where the assignment was to draw something from a book the professor had in her office and then cover up part of it in some way. As soon as I found the image of this skeleton borracho I knew which image i wanted to draw. Unfortunately, I don’t remember who made the original image.

(If you have an idea who that was, let me know so i can credit them.)

This assignment came later in the semester, and it’s probably my favorite piece from that class.
